Minor 7ths chords add a delicate, airy kind of sound to the minor triad, which can make them a little more thought-provoking.
In this course, we will explore how to play Minor 7th chords in the Open Position. Our options are more limited with just the 3 out of the 5 C-A-G-E-D chord forms A-D-E available, plus an extra little-known Bm7. The Bm triad can only be played with a barre but its Minor 7th can be voiced in the Open Position. We’ll also see that some of these open chords have the option to add the minor 7th interval twice for an even brighter sound.
