Dominant 7th Arpeggios | Blues

Many of us become fluent at creating very convincing solos using Pentatonic Scales over blues progressions. However, are we really paying attnetion to the chords as they pass by?

One way you can root your solos to the chords and tell the story of the progression in your melodic lines is to target the chords tones. In a Dominant Blues, that means outlining Dominant 7th arpeggios.

• Play 1-octave Dominant 7th arpeggio boxes off the 5th string
