Major & Minor Triads

In this learning path, you will learn how to play every single closed position triad that you can play on the guitar, for any major or minor chord. It will revolutionise your rhythm playing and also your lead playing, enabling you to chord tone target at will. It will massively expand your fretboard knowledge and neck vision giving you a professional level command of your instrument.

Triads will be explored through horizontal and positional, voice-led I-IV-V progressions in the key of C Major which will also have the added bonus of learning all natural notes on the guitar (ABCDEFG). We will harmonise the major scale giving triads a very practical use and context. Once you can play triads in the horizontal on fixed string sets, we will then unfold them in the vertical giving you all the dimensions that you need and an all encompassing system which cross-pollinates with the CAGED system.

This is probably the most important foundational learning path for guitar and will be the catalyst to fast-track you from an intermediate to an advanced played. It will be time spent that you will not regret.
